Becoming a Job Security Foundation client

How can the Job Security Foundation (Trygghetsstiftelsen) help me find a new job?

We offer a variety of jobseeker activities. As our client, you will have your own advisor to support you on your route to a new job. You and your advisor will decide together which measures are most suitable for you. In addition, you will have the opportunity to sign up to the Job Security Foundation’s recruitment service.

How do I become a client?

It is your employer who registers you with Trygghetsstiftelsen. They send in a ‘notification’ as it is called, when you have been notified that your employment will be ending. Please talk to your boss or HR department if you are unsure whether the notification has been sent in. If you have other questions regarding the notification, you can also contact your union representative. We will contact you when we have received the notification. Only your employer can register you with us and we cannot help you until we have received notification from your employer.

Am I entitled to become a client?

Yes, if you will be given notice due to lack of work and have worked at least twelve months in a row, for one and the same government employer, then they can register you with us.

Yes, if you have a fixed-term contract and have worked for at least two years in a row for one and the same government employer, then they can register you with us.

What sort of support can I receive and which agreement applies for me?

The type of support depends on what kind of employment you have. If you have a fixed-term contract, the length of your employment plays an important part. Start by deciding which agreement applies to you from the options below and then click your way to information about the terms that apply for you.

The ’Avtal om omställning’ agreement applies:
- if you have been made redundant due to lack of work in January 2015 or more recently.
- if your fixed-term work contract expires and your last day of employment according to the employment contract is on 1 January 2015 or more recently.

The Job Security Agreement applies:
- if you have been made redundant due to lack of work before or on 31 December 2014.

When your employer has registered you, you will receive an email from us.

I can’t log in to My login (Mina sidor)

The first time you log in to My login (Mina sidor),  you will need to fill in your Swedish I.D. number, email address and the activation code we sent you in the welcome letter. https://www.tsn.se/anvandare/registrera/

Who is my administrator?

This information is in the welcome letter we sent out to you when you were registered with us.

I used to be a client. Am I still covered by the agreement?

Yes, if you don’t have a permanent job and were registered as a client with us before 2015, then you are covered by the Job Security Agreement for a maximum of seven years.

Yes, if you don’t have a permanent job and were registered as a client with us after 2015, then you are covered by the ’Avtal om omställning’ agreement for a maximum of four years if you had a fixed-term contract. A maximum of five years applies if you were made redundant from a permanent position.

No, you are no longer covered by the agreement if you have a new permanent position. In special circumstances, a person may return to the agreement if they have been given a new job by an employer who does not have a job security agreement.
